Stay tuned for video of the new space on Sunday, but satisfy your curiosity’s appetite with these photos of the new Cunningham Group restaurant’s interior, which will eventually seat more than 120 with a full charcuterie room and program run by George Turkette.
Here’s a rundown of the basics before we roll (by which we mean edit) that beautiful bean footage:
Opens: Early February 2016
Hours/Service: Dinner only, Tuesday-Saturday
Sourcing: Doesn’t get more local than from their hydroponically-farmed wall
Concept: A test kitchen-like concept for the Cunningham Group. Executive Chef Carl Chambers needed a space to test out new ideas that wouldn’t interrupt other restaurants’ service. Less than a year later, Vida is coming to life at 601 E. New York St with Chef Layton Roberts coming to helm the new restaurant.
Shout out also to the Cunningham Group for keeping the original Greyhound Station building in tact, where they’re opening Evansville’s first Bru Burger next year, which also happens to be my hometown.
